Alexander Leckie
Alexander Leckie (known as Sandy) won two gold and two silver medals for Scotland over three successive Games. He took Foil gold in Perth in 1962, silver in Sabre four years later in Jamaica, and then individual Sabre gold and Team silver in Edinburgh in 1970, the last time Fencing was in the Games.
He was Scotland's flag bearer at the Edinburgh 1970 Opening Ceremony and was again involved in 1986 as part of the final stage of the Queen's Baton Relay, running into the stadium behind baton bearer Allan Wells.
Sandy represented Great Britain at three Olympic Games with his best result making the last 16 in 1968. He was eight times British Champion, with three titles in Foil and five in Sabre.
