Craig won bronze for Scotland in the Team Sprint at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, followed by gold in the same event at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia. Having returned to the Paralympic form of the sport as pilot to Neil Fachie, he won a further two golds at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Craig also had a successful Olympic career, representing Great Britain at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, winning silver in the Team Sprint, also competing at Athens 2004. He went on the pilot Anthony Kappes to a gold medal at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, becoming only the second athlete in history to win medals at both Olympic and Paralympic Games.
