Best known for her prowess in the sprint disciplines, Samantha stepped up in distance to finish fourth in both the T54 1500m and Marathon at Gold Coast 2018, improving on her fifth place in the T54 1500m at Glasgow 2014.
She burst onto the international scene at the 2014 IPC European Championships, winning triple gold in the T53 100m, 200m and 800m, before going on to take 200m bronze at the World Championships a year later.
2017 was a standout year as she took gold in both 100m and 200m at the World Championships, also winning bronze in the 400m. She brought her tally of World medals to five with 100m bronze in 2019, despite taking time out over the summer for surgery.
Tokyo 2020 is her second Paralympic Games appearance after a fifth place finish in the 100m at Rio 2016.
