Beth Potter

Beth made her Team Scotland debut at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, where she competed in Athletics over 1500m and 3000m. She took two top 10 finishes on the track, including fifth in the 10,000m, at her first senior Games at Glasgow 2014. Two years later she competed at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, also in the 10,000m.

She made history at Gold Coast 2018, becoming the first Team Scotland athlete to compete across two sports in the same Games, running the 10,000m in Athletics after completing the Triathlon individual event and team relay.

Despite hitting the headlines in April 2021 with an unofficial world-record beating 5k time of 14:41 at a road event in Lancashire, Triathlon is now her priority. She won gold at the 2019 European Championships and has had an outstanding 2021 with two seventh place finishes in the World Triathlon Series and back to back victories in World Triathlon Cup events in South Korea.

Beth won a bronze medal for Women's Individual and ranked 5th in Mixed Team Relay at her third Commonwealth Games at Birmingham 2022.
