Ross made his Commonwealth Games debut at the Gold Coast 2018 Games, achieving a 10th place finish. He returns to Team Scotland for a second Games at Birmingham 2022, competing in the 65kg event.
At the age of 18 he was the top Scottish performer at the 2017 Commonwealth Wrestling Championships as he struck bronze in the 57kg weight category, capping a fantastic year which also saw him take bronze at the Junior Ontario Cup in July. His international success followed gold at the British Closed Championships and silver at the British Open.
Ross is following in the family tradition, with his father David wrestling for Scotland at two Commonwealth Games, winning bronze at Edinburgh 1986.
