Carys was selected for Birmingham 2022 as part of the Women's 4 x 400m Relay squad, having made her Team Scotland debut at the Samoa 2015 Commonwealth Youth Games. Samoa saw her take silver in the 800m in a close finish with eventual winner Amy Harding-Delooze of Australia.
