We have a small team of permanent staff to lead preparations for each Commonwealth Games, supported by Board members, volunteers, interns, secondees and contractors.

Content Creator

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, we are seeking to recruit a Content Creator to tell the story of our athletes and sports in the build-up to and during the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

You will plan and deliver engaging content that informs and engages the nation, connecting members of the public with the athletes who will represent their country for Team Scotland. The eyes of the nation will be on our nation and team in 2026, and you will play your part in making the most of that opportunity.

Head of Media

Reporting to the Head of Marketing (non-Games time) and Chef de Mission (Games time), we are seeking to recruit a Head of Media to lead our media and communications in the build-up to and during the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

You will recruit, prepare and manage a Games-time media team to maximise the promotion of Team Scotland, our sports and athletes, and manage all activity in the build-up to the Games, including team announcements and media enquiries.

The position will be key to the success of Team Scotland, creating and delivering a high-performance environment at the Games to inspire the team to have pride, act inclusively and enable athletes to excel.

Ordinary Director x 2

Commonwealth Games Scotland (CGS) is seeking to recruit two ordinary directors who can support the continued success and momentum of the organisation over the next four-year cycle, incorporating the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and following the success of Team Scotland at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Ordinary Directors provide leadership and oversight to CGS decision making and implementation as part of the Board of Directors.

Please note that candidates for these roles are nominated and subsequently elected by CGS Member Sports.
