Alex Marshall

George Sneddon
Gifford
Alex 'Tattie' Marshall cemented his place in history as the most successful Team Scotland athlete of all time with gold in the Men's Fours competition and silver in the Pairs at Gold Coast 2018, bringing his total medal count to five golds and one silver, surpassing Allan Wells' four gold medals, one silver, and one bronze.

Alex has represented Scotland at Lawn Bowls since 1987 after being introduced to the sport by his Grandfather at the age of 8 and Birmingham 2022 will be an incredible seventh Games appearance for Team Scotland. He also holds the record for the most World titles, beginning with three gold medals at the 1992 World Outdoor Championships and continuing all the way through to a record sixth World Indoor Singles title in 2015 and a fourth Indoor Pairs title with Paul Foster in 2019.

One of his proudest moments was receiving an MBE in 2007 from the Queen for his services to bowls.
