Chris made his Commonwealth Games debut in his home town Glasgow in 2014, reaching the finals of Men´s Hammer Throw. In 2018, he participated in the Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast, where he placed tenth. He returns for a third Games at Birmingham 2022.
Chris also competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the Men´s Hammer Throw and, the same year, won the British hammer title.
Chris, in 2021, threw out to 75.69m to deliver the longest hammer throw by a Scot in Scotland.
Chris Bennett threw 66.48m placing in 12th position in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
