David Weir
Competing at his first Commonwealth Games at Gold Coast 2018, David won Team Event bronze alongside Daniel Purvis, Frank Baines, Kelvin Cham and Hamish Carter.
David gained selection to Team Scotland for Gold Coast 2018 following an impressive performance at the 2017 Scottish Artistic Gymnastics Championships, where he won seven medals including gold on Floor and Vault and All-Around silver. He was part of the bronze medal winning team at the 2016 Northern European Championships, also taking Team silver at the UK School Games the same year.
David will take part in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. He finished fifth in the team event alongside Frank Baines, Pavel Karnjenko, Cameron Lynn, and Hamish Carter.
David competed at a record seven UK School games, the first Scottish gymnast ever to be selected at every age category.
