Ellie made her Commonwealth Games debut at Birmingham 2022 where Team Scotland finished in sixth place. A medical student at Dundee University, she won her first senior cap as Scotland finished third at the Indoor EuroHockey Championship II in 2020 and outdoors at EuroHockey Championships in 2021.
She played for Scotland at age-group level and was part of the U18 and U21 sides that won gold at EuroHockey Championship II in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
