Iona made her Commonwealth Games debut at Birmingham 2022, where Team Scotland finished in ninth place. She played at the 2017 World Youth Cup in Botswana and made her Scotland senior debut in 2021. She has also competed at the European Spikeball Championships and works as a freelance illustrator and designer.
