Nick returned for a second Commonwealth Games for Team Scotland at Birmingham 2022, finishing 5th in the Men's Discus final. His first Games, Glasgow 2014, saw him just miss out on a place in the final, finishing in 13th place in qualifying with the top 12 progressing.
His debut for Team Scotland came at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games in Isle of Man where he was a double medallist, taking silver in the discus and bronze in the hammer. He won discus silver at the 2013 European Junior Championships, competed at the 2017 World Championships and made the final, finishing 7th, at the 2019 Universiade.
