Glasgow 2026

In 2026, the Commonwealth Games will return to Glasgow, Scotland from 23 July to 2 August. Set to become only the third city to host the Games twice, after Auckland and Edinburgh, Glasgow will capitalise on the infrastructure and expertise of its previous time as host, welcoming athletes, officials and fans for a streamlined Games featuring exciting action in 10 sports.

Taking place entirely within the city boundaries across four venues, everyone involved can look forward to an intense and immersive atmosphere. Glasgow 2026 will be an inspiration for future hosts around the Commonwealth in its sustainability and attainability.

Glasgow 2026 is being funded by the Commonwealth Games Federation, with an additional contribution from Commonwealth Games Australia. We are taking no funding from the Scottish or UK Governments.
